Hi, I’m Michael!

Hi, I’m Michael!

I didn’t start in product design. I started by learning how things get made.

I’m a product designer based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, with a background in visual design, print production, and creative problem-solving.

Over 7+ years in graphic design, print production, and creative operations, I learned to think about constraints, systems, details, and how ideas move from concept to something people can actually use.

For years, I’ve worked where ideas become real things. That taught me to think beyond aesthetics: work within constraints, collaborate across teams, and pay attention to the details that make an experience work.

Product design became the natural next step: taking that visual and systems thinking upstream and applying it to the problems people experience before a product ever gets built.

My curiosity about why some products feel effortless led me into UX. Today, I combine visual craft with research and systems thinking to make complex digital experiences feel simpler.

Today, I design digital products around complexity, decision-making, and trust—particularly where AI and human judgment meet.

I’m currently developing my product design practice through TripleTen and projects like Startline Centre. My path into design wasn’t traditional, and that’s part of what shapes my perspective.

What I’m curious about

I’m particularly interested in designing products at the intersection of:

Human behavior

Understanding why people make the decisions they do.

Artificial intelligence

Exploring how AI can make digital experiences more helpful and human—not more complicated.

Financial wellbeing

Designing tools that help people feel more confident about their money.

Access & inclusion

Creating experiences that help people navigate systems that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

Complex systems

Finding ways to turn complicated information into clear, actionable experiences.
